Geneseo, IL. October 1, 2015 – Geneseo Public Library to purchase tablets for staff
As part of its commitment to give back to the community, Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation recently announced that it will donate $3,400 to the Geneseo Public Library District in support of their plan to purchase a tablet for each staff member.
“These tablets will help our library deliver relevant and up-to-date services to our community. Staff members will use the tablets to help younger patrons with access to educational technology creating a foundation for both print and digital literacy while encouraging the love of reading. The value of these tablets cannot be overstated,” said Claire Crawford, Geneseo Public Library Director. “Our library staff will now have access to a wonderful tool that will help them better assist our library users while advancing their own skills through online training sessions. Through the generosity of Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation this grant allows us to take a step forward in blending technology with learning.”
Geneseo Communication Charitable Foundation grant applications can be found at here and can be submitted at any time throughout the year. Applications are reviewed quarterly and all 501(c) 3 organizations that reside within Geneseo Communications servicing area are encouraged to apply.
