As part of its commitment to give back to the community, Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation recently announced that it will donate $2,500 to William W. Cole Memorial Trust in support of needed facility repairs.
“We are extremely grateful to the Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation,” said Chris Thompson, Trustee of William W. Cole Memorial Trust. “This funding will help toward needed repairs including the immediate need to replace the roof of the picnic shelter located on the grounds of Cole Cabin facility. The last roof replacement was in the late 1980’s, and is starting to show significant signs of wear. These funds will help support our plans to replace the existing asphalt shingle roof with a new metal roof. This funding will benefit our organization’s impact on the youth of Geneseo through maintaining and providing for those utilizing the Cole Cabin facilities.”
The Cole Cabin facility and grounds are utilized by many organizations that positively impact youth in Geneseo and the surrounding area, including Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America, Trail Life USA, Geneseo 4-H, and other youth organizations.
The Geneseo Communication Charitable Foundation was established in 2002 by Geneseo Communications, Inc. to enhance, develop and benefit the Geneseo Community.
Geneseo Communication Charitable Foundation grant applications can be found here and can be submitted at any time throughout the year. Applications are reviewed quarterly and all 501(c) 3 organizations that reside within Geneseo Communications servicing area are encouraged to apply.
