As part of its commitment to give back to the communities it serves, Cambridge Telcom, Inc. recently announced that it will donate $1,500 to the Orion Food Pantry Backpack food program.
“Orion is a great community” said Terry Reed, Chairman of the Board for Cambridge Telcom. “We identified a real need in Orion for better Internet service. Over the last couple of years, we have invested heavily to bring fiber-optic technology to the businesses and residents here currently serving over 300 new subscribers. Our company has a long, proud history of service and commitment within the communities we serve. As a new member of the community of Orion we are honored to give back to local organizations like the Orion Food Pantry that positively impact the lives of our neighbors and friends.”
“Their help comes at a great time” said Reverend Sharon Wilbur, President of the Orion Food Pantry. “With school underway and the colder months ahead, their funding will help us to further our mission to support and improve the quality of life for local families in need. The Backpack food program provides nutritious, non-perishable, easy-to-prepare food to children to ensure they get enough food on weekends and holidays when they can’t depend on school meals. We are so appreciative that Cambridge Telcom not only has invested within our community, but also sees the need to connect with our community on a personal level by partnering with us in our vision to strive to improve the lives of those in need.”
