Geneseo, IL. January 15th, 2016 – Richmond Hill Players receives funds from Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation to help defray the cost of new stage lighting and sound equipment installed in 2013
As part of its commitment to give back to the community, Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation recently announced that it will donate and additional $15,000 to Geneseo’s Richmond Hill Players to help defray the cost of new stage lighting and sound system installed in 2013.
Richmond Hill Players bring the art of live stage performance to Geneseo and the surrounding area. Richmond Hill has more than 100 active members involved both on and off the stage. Actors, directors, backstage personnel, support staff and audiences are drawn from more than a 60-mile radius that includes cities in Illinois and Iowa.
“We are extremely grateful to the Geneseo Communications Charitable Foundation, said John VanDeWoestyne, Richmond Hill Players President. “With the Foundation’s original gift of $15,000 in 2013 we were able to secure financing to purchase much needed new stage lighting and sound system. This new equipment has enhanced our performances over the past two years providing our audience better visual and audio enjoyment. With the Foundations generous support again this year of an additional $15,000 we are able to significantly reduce the debt owed on this equipment which positions us for a more fiscally ‘sound’ 2016! ”
